The trailer for Dining With The Kapoors has dropped, promising an intimate, fly-on-the-wall documentary that brings together Ranbir Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan, and multiple generations to celebrate Raj Kapoor’s 100th birth anniversary over food, nostalgia, and unfiltered family gossip.
November 15, 2025: The trailer for the highly anticipated family special, Dining With The Kapoors, has given audiences a warm and candid look into the private world of Bollywood’s most enduring dynasty, confirming the special will be a unique blend of cinematic legacy, inter-generational humor, and a shared love for food.
The Netflix special, conceptualized and produced by Armaan Jain, gathers the extended Kapoor clan—from Randhir Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor to Ranbir Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Karisma Kapoor—in a single, multi-generational reunion.
Gossip, Nostalgia, and Raj Kapoor’s Legacy
The special serves as a celebration of the late patriarch, Raj Kapoor’s 100th birth anniversary, anchoring the family’s nearly century-long contribution to Indian cinema.
The trailer is packed with glimpses of intimate moments, showcasing the unscripted dynamic of the family. Highlights include:
- Unfiltered Banter: The trailer captures the affectionate teasing and easy laughter between cousins and siblings.
- Bebo’s Favorite Question: It quickly becomes clear that Kareena Kapoor Khan’s go-to dinner party icebreaker is “What’s the goss?”
- Food as a Centerpiece: The film promises a sensory experience, with visuals of comforting dishes like mac and cheese, ghee, and aromatic spices surrounding the conversations, confirming that food is a central character in the Kapoor family traditions.
Other notable family members featured include Rima Jain, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, and Aadar Jain.
A Childhood Dream Realized
For producer Armaan Jain, the project is deeply personal. He revealed that the idea for the documentary originated from his own childhood memories.
Armaan Jain (to Moneycontrol): “It’s a dream I’ve carried since childhood, a chance to share my love for storytelling, food and family with the world… The real magic happened around the dinner table, where stories, laughter and memories defined who we are.”
The fly-on-the-wall style documentary offers a rare, unfiltered perspective on the stars, who seldom appear together in such a relaxed, personal setting.
Dining With The Kapoors is scheduled to stream globally on Netflix on November 21.
