Dino Morea Opens Up About Breakup with Bipasha Basu During ‘Raaz’ Shoot: “She Found It Very Tough”
March 13, 2025: Bollywood actor Dino Morea recently reflected on his high-profile breakup with Bipasha Basu during the shooting of their 2002 blockbuster Raaz. In an interview with Pinkvilla, he revealed that their split was particularly difficult for Bipasha, as they continued to work together despite parting ways.

💬 “During Raaz, Bipasha and I were breaking up. To be honest, it was me who initiated the breakup because we had some issues. She found it very tough, and I was seeing her every day on set. She was upset. It was very, very tough for me to see someone I care about so much in pain,” Dino shared.
📌 Despite attempts to reconcile, they eventually accepted that their relationship was not meant to last.
💬 “We had already chosen different paths. We tried to fix things, but it just wasn’t working. And I moved on.”
Dino explained that the emotional toll of their split was compounded by the fact that they were still shooting intense scenes together.
💬 “It was a challenging time. Parting ways with someone you’ve spent years with, while still working together, made it even harder.”
The two continued working together in multiple films post-Raaz, including Gunaah, Ishq Hai Tumse, Rakht, and Chehraa.
⏳ Over time, however, the bitterness faded, and they transformed their equation into a strong friendship.
💬 “That moment is very tough—it comes with anger, emotions, rage. But with time, you realize it was just a phase. I really enjoy being around her, and she enjoys my company, so we decided to remain friends.”
📌 Their friendship was evident when Dino Morea attended Bipasha’s wedding reception with Karan Singh Grover in 2016, proving that true friendships can survive past heartbreaks.
