November 9, 2024: It looks like fans of Ice Age have some exciting news to look forward to! The beloved animated franchise is getting a sixth installment, with Ice Age 6 officially in the works. Ray Romano, John Leguizamo, and Queen Latifah, who have voiced key characters in the series, shared the announcement during a fun moment at D23 Brazil, which was later shared on Disney’s social media.
In the video, Romano humorously pretends to be caught off guard by the cold, and as snow begins to fall on the set, he reveals, “Ice Age 6 is coming to theatres.” Latifah chimes in with enthusiasm, while Leguizamo adds, “The Herd is back, baby!” It sounds like all the fan-favorite characters are returning for the new adventure.
As of now, Disney hasn’t disclosed a specific release date for the film, but the fact that it’s happening is definitely big news for fans of the series. The Ice Age franchise has been a significant part of animated movie history since its first release in 2002, so it will be exciting to see where they take the story in this new chapter.
