
Diwali Box Office Showdown: 'Singham Again' Or 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3' Who Will Get an Opening Advantage
November1, 2024: This Diwali, Bollywood’s big releases, Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, are poised to clash at the box office. While both films are expected to earn impressive opening numbers, Ajay Devgn’s Singham Again is predicted to take a significant lead over Kartik Aaryan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.
According to projections by Sacnilk, Singham Again is likely to generate around Rs 57 crore in net box office collections on its opening day, while Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is expected to earn approximately Rs 41 crore. Gross collections could see Singham Again at roughly Rs 70 crore and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 at around Rs 50 crore.
Both films will debut with early 7 am shows on Friday, marking a sign of confidence among exhibitors and distributors. They will release across 6,000 screens in India, with Singham Again securing a 60% share, while Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 holds the remaining 40%.
Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again has reported remarkable advance bookings, with 2,40,683 tickets sold for its 12,061 shows, amounting to Rs 7.58 crore, which rises to Rs 10.2 crore with block seats included. Key markets include NCR, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, and Pune.
Meanwhile, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has sold tickets worth Rs 8.89 crore, totaling around Rs 11 crore with block seats. Its top-performing regions include NCR, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, and Bengaluru.
Directed by Rohit Shetty, Singham Again follows Bajirao Singham and his team as they battle an elusive villain named Danger Lanka to save Singham’s wife, Avni. The film stars Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranveer Singh, Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff, and Arjun Kapoor.
On the other hand, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, directed by Anees Bazmee, will see Kartik Aaryan reprising his role as Rooh Baba, a fraudster tackling a case in a haunted castle. Vidya Balan returns as Manjulika, along with a cast that includes Madhuri Dixit, Triptii Dimri, Vijay Raaz, Rajpal Yadav, and Sanjay Mishra.
Both films bring strong franchises with loyal fan bases to the big screen, making this Diwali clash a thrilling one to watch. With Singham Again expected to have the upper hand in both box office numbers and screen allocation, it remains to be seen how Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 will fare in this high-stakes competition.
