Siddhant Chaturvedi and Mrunal Thakur are set to lead the cast of Do Deewane Seher Mein, a contemporary romance produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, which was unveiled today with an announcement video promising an “imperfectly perfect prem kahaani.”

November 21, 2025: Bollywood is set for a fresh cinematic pairing as actors Siddhant Chaturvedi and Mrunal Thakur team up for the first time in the new film, Do Deewane Seher Mein. The project, backed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bhansali Productions, was officially announced today with a vibrant glimpse of the upcoming romantic drama.

The film is slated for a theatrical release on February 20, 2026, strategically scheduled to capitalize on the Valentine’s week fervor.

An “Imperfectly Perfect” Prem Kahani

The 1.06-minute announcement video, shared by the makers this morning, introduces Chaturvedi as Shashank and Thakur as Roshni. The video hints at a story rooted in “old-school sensibilities” while maintaining a contemporary appeal.

Sharing the announcement, Bhansali Productions wrote: “Do dil, ek seher, aur ek imperfectly perfect prem kahani! This Valentine’s Day, isq se isq ho jayega! #DoDeewaneसहरMein – 20th Feb 2026.”

The film is directed by Ravi Udyawar, known for his work on Sridevi’s Mom and Siddhant Chaturvedi’s action thriller Yudhra. This marks Udyawar’s second collaboration with Siddhant.

Star-Studded Ensemble

While the focus is on the lead pair, the film boasts an expansive supporting cast, including veteran actors and popular faces such as Ila Arun, Joy Sengupta, Ayesha Raza, Viraj Gehlani, Sandeepa Dhar, Deepraj Rana, Mona Ambegaokar, Achint Kaur, and Naveen Kaushik.

The film’s title pays homage to the classic song “Do Deewane Shehar Mein” from the 1977 film Gharaonda.

On the professional front, Siddhant Chaturvedi, last seen in Dhadak 2, has several projects lined up, including Dil Ka Darwaaza Khol Na Darling. Mrunal Thakur, who recently had to apologize for comments made about Bipasha Basu, is preparing for the release of Dacoit: A Love Story, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, and Pooja Meri Jaan.
