January 17, 2025: Dr. Nitin Dange, from Lilavati Hospital, reassured the public on Friday about Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan’s well-being, confirming that the actor is doing “extremely well” and is safe after undergoing treatment. Saif has been shifted out of the ICU, although his movements remain restricted to allow for proper recovery.

Dr. Niraj Uttamani, who was one of the first doctors to meet Saif following his injury, described the actor as a “real hero” for his composure despite being injured. “He walked in like a lion with his young child,” Dr. Uttamani said, highlighting Saif’s strength. He added that Saif’s vital signs have improved significantly, and he has been moved to a special room from the ICU. However, the actor is advised to take rest to avoid potential infections from the wounds on his back.

Dr. Dange explained that Saif’s spine injury had been successfully repaired, and there are no concerns about paralysis. The sharp object that had lodged in his spine, causing fluid leakage, has been removed. Although Saif’s condition is stable, the doctors have advised limiting visitors and encouraging rest for a swift recovery.

Meanwhile, Mumbai Police are continuing their investigation into the attack. Authorities confirmed they had recovered a portion of the blade used in the attack on Saif and are working to locate the remaining piece. Police have detained one person in connection with the case and are searching areas like Vasai, Nalasopara, and Virar, suspecting that the attacker might have fled by local train towards these locations after the incident.
