Fans of Dulquer Salmaan will have to wait a bit longer to see him in his latest film, ‘Lucky Baskhar’. The film’s release, initially set for September 7, has been postponed to October 31, 2024. The announcement was made on social media, where the makers emphasized the importance of quality over the initial release date.

The official X account for the film stated, “Postponing releases can impact social media reputation, but it’s essential for our film’s quality! #LuckyBaskhar is set to make your Diwali special in theaters worldwide. Grand release on Oct 31st, 2024. #LuckyBaskharOnOct31st.”

Dulquer Salmaan also shared the new release date on his Instagram story, along with a fresh poster for the film.

‘Lucky Baskhar’ will showcase Dulquer in a never-before-seen role as a simple bank cashier. Set against the backdrop of the late 1980s and early 1990s, the film explores the fascinating life journey of Lucky Baskhar, a character who transforms from a modest individual into someone with a substantial fortune. The teaser, released during Eid, hinted at an intriguing storyline centered around Baskhar’s remarkable rise.

Directed by Venky Atluri, known for his critically acclaimed film ‘Sir/Vaathi’, the movie features Meenakshi Chaudhary as the leading lady opposite Dulquer. The film’s music is composed by GV Prakash Kumar, with Nimish Ravi handling the cinematography. The production design is managed by Banglan, and Navin Nooli is the editor.

‘Lucky Baskhar’ will now hit cinemas on October 31, promising to be a Diwali treat for moviegoers.
