Mumbai, February 24: A quirky new comedy-drama, ‘Dupahiya,’ is all set to entertain audiences as it arrives on Prime Video on March 7. Starring an ensemble cast featuring Gajraj Rao, Renuka Shahane, and Bhuvan Arora, the series is directed by Sonam Nair and promises a blend of humor, chaos, and small-town aspirations.
Alongside the leading trio, Sparsh Shrivastava, Shivani Raghuvanshi, and Yashpal Sharma also play pivotal roles in the show, which unfolds in the fictional village of Dhadakpur—dubbed the “Belgium of Bihar.”
The recently released trailer has already captured audience interest.
The story begins in Dhadakpur, a village on the brink of celebrating 25 years of being crime-free. However, the peace is shattered when an unseen-before motorbike, purchased as a wedding gift, gets stolen just seven days before the ceremony!
With the fate of the wedding hanging in the balance, the bride’s family and an unexpected visitor—her ex-lover—set out on a chaotic journey to recover the missing bike. This wholesome and hilarious adventure explores the dreams, hopes, and ambitions of small-town India, making it a must-watch for lovers of feel-good cinema.

Veteran actress Renuka Shahane, who plays Pushplata, the village sarpanch, shared her excitement about the series.
“Pushplata is unlike anything I’ve done before. She is strong-willed yet endearing, and playing her has expanded my skills as an actor. ‘Dupahiya’ is a heartland comedy that beautifully showcases small-town aspirations. I cannot wait for audiences across India and the world to watch it on March 7,” she said.
Shivani Raghuvanshi, known for her role in Made in Heaven, plays Roshni Jha, the bride at the heart of the story.
“Roshni is a fun, innocent yet resilient character. She knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to speak her mind. Bringing her to life was both exciting and challenging. Returning to Prime Video with a wedding drama—albeit a very different one from Made in Heaven—feels like coming home!”
Bhuvan Arora, who gained fame for his role in Farzi, plays Amavas, a character that intrigued him due to his silent yet layered personality.
“Dupahiya is a true labour of love—hilarious, heartwarming, and full of entertainment. My character communicates more through silence than words, which was an exciting challenge for me. The energy on set was amazing, and I can’t wait for the audience to join this joyride,” he said.
With a stellar cast, a hilarious premise, and an engaging storyline, Dupahiya is all set to become the next big hit on Prime Video.
