Dutch Princess Catharina-Amalia Targeted In Deepfake Porn Attack

The future Queen of the Netherlands, Princess Catharina-Amalia, has been targeted in an AI-generated pornographic deepfake attack.

August 21, 2025: A deepfake porn attack has hit Princess Catharina-Amalia of the Netherlands, who is 21 years old and the heir to the Dutch throne. The websites that had digitally altered movies of her are no longer up.

The Daily Beast says that the FBI and Dutch police worked together to shut down the websites, including MrDeepFakes, which is a big one. The sites feature bogus porn of the princess and over 70 other Dutch women. No one has been arrested in connection with the crime, even though the websites are no longer up.

This isn’t the first time Catharina-Amalia has been hurt like this; videos of her being attacked came out in 2022. But the princess’s schooling has made the event more newsworthy.

The princess wrote her bachelor’s thesis on deepfakes while studying Politics, Psychology, Law, and Economics (PPLE) at the University of Amsterdam. “Beyond Disclosure: Bridging the Gap Between the Artificial Intelligence Act and the Charter of Fundamental Rights with Deepfaked Bodies” was the name of her paper. It looked at the legal and moral problems that arise when new AI rules and basic European rights don’t agree.

Beatrix Catharina-Amalia Beatrix Catharina-Amalia Carmen Victoria is the princess’s full name. She was born on December 7, 2003, in The Hague. Since her father, King Willem-Alexander, became king in April 2013, she has been known as Princess of Orange. She will be the next queen of the Netherlands.

The event draws attention to a rising global worry about utilizing AI to make sexually explicit content without permission, especially when it comes to famous people. Governments and police all around the world are having a hard time dealing with the legal and moral issues that come up with this new type of cybercrime.
