The actor took to his Instagram account to honor his late furry companion, posting a series of pictures and videos that captured their special moments together over the years.

In his emotional post, Johnson expressed his sorrow and relief that Hobbs “didn’t suffer long” and “quietly and bravely left in the night.” The actor also conveyed his gratitude for the immense love Hobbs gave to their entire family during their time together.

“RIP Hobbs. I’ve been numb over this loss, but we’re so grateful for every ounce of pure love he gave our entire family, and we’re grateful he didn’t suffer long as he quietly and bravely left in the night,” Johnson wrote.

In the caption, he also reflected on the challenges he’s been facing, adding, “Lately, there’s been a lot that’s too big to talk about. Lonesome, lonely, heard it’s all the same.” He went on to mention how one of his favorite songs seemed fitting for the moment, contemplating Hobbs’ new life. “Not sure how spirits work, but come back and visit every once in a while so we can get in trouble and laugh again,” Johnson shared.
