October 29, 2024: Sony Pictures has officially announced that Jumanji 3 is set to hit theaters on December 11, 2026. Fans can look forward to the return of beloved stars Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black, and Karen Gillan, along with director Jake Kasdan, who has directed the previous installments.
The production team includes Johnson, Kasdan, Dany Garcia, Hiram Garcia, and Matt Tolmach. Notably, the film will be presented in IMAX and premium large formats, promising a visually captivating experience for audiences.
The Jumanji franchise saw a successful resurgence with Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle in December 2017, which grossed over $950 million worldwide. Its sequel, released in 2019, also performed well, earning over $801 million globally.

The films are based on Chris Van Allsburg's 1981 children's book, which inspired the original 1995 movie featuring Robin Williams. Earlier this year, Gillan mentioned the challenges of coordinating the cast's schedules but expressed enthusiasm for the project, emphasizing their love for working on the films.
Dwayne Johnson has also shared his excitement, noting that Kasdan is developing a unique concept that may serve as a fitting conclusion to this chapter of the franchise. Johnson hinted that the idea is "very special" and could resonate well with fans.
