November 12, 2024: In a candid interview with GQ, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson addressed rumours about his on-set behaviour that sparked controversy earlier this year. Allegations surfaced that the actor, known for his role in Red One, was “chronically late” to set, causing significant production delays, and had an unusual habit of peeing in bottles during shoots.

When asked about these claims, Dwayne didn’t shy away from the topic. “Yes, I pee in a bottle,” he admitted, explaining that it’s a time-saver when he’s not near his trailer. As for the rumors about his chronic lateness, he refuted them with his signature humor, saying, “Eight hours late? That’s bananas. Ridiculous.” However, he did admit that he can be late at times, though never to the extreme reported. “I believe in taking accountability,” he stated. “If you have questions, come and ask me, and I’ll tell you the truth.”

Red One director Jake Kasdan defended Johnson, saying the actor “never missed a day of work” and that occasional lateness is par for the course in Hollywood. Co-star Chris Evans echoed this support, noting, “Everyone knows what to expect from Dwayne; he’s dedicated and professional.”
