Ed Sheeran Feels Honoured To Be “First-Ever International Artist” To Perform In Bhutan

In an Instagram post, he reflected on the milestone, sharing his thoughts on the country and the experience. “Had the honour to be the first-ever international artist to play Bhutan last night,” he wrote, adding that the country is “a beautiful place with incredible people.”

Sheeran, clearly moved by the warm reception, even joked about relocating to Bhutan: “Lemme know if I can move there, please and thank you.” The singer also expressed his gratitude to the people of Bhutan for welcoming him and his crew for this historic event.

In his video, Sheeran admitted that it felt surreal to be the first international artist to perform in Bhutan. He reminisced about his earlier days in the music industry, recalling playing in empty rooms, and now being able to perform in such a special place. “I hope there are many more to come,” he added, suggesting that his concert could be the first of many for international acts in the future.

Sheeran’s Mathematics World Tour, which began in April 2022, is slated to conclude in 2025, with a final European leg. His European tour will include major cities like Madrid, Rome, Zurich, Stockholm, and Copenhagen, culminating in Dusseldorf, Germany, on September 9, 2025.
