Ed Sheeran Reflects on His Close Friendship with Taylor Swift

In an interview, Sheeran shared that while he doesn’t see Swift often, their rare meetings are filled with meaningful catch-ups.

“I see her when I see her,” Sheeran explained, adding, “I probably see her, like, four times a year.” When they do meet, however, their time together is always quality over quantity. “We have proper sit-down, six-hour catch-ups,” he said, reflecting on the deep connection they share. “I think that’s, like, a really nice way to do it.”

Sheeran also reminisced about their time together while touring for Swift’s Red album in 2013 and 2014. Both lived in Nashville at the time, and their bond grew even stronger as they traveled together. “I lived in Nashville, and she lived in Nashville,” Sheeran recalled. “And we used to fly to and from the gigs together and do all sorts of stuff.” He added, “I literally spent almost every single day with her for about six months.”

The friendship between the two stars goes beyond just their shared experiences in the music industry. Sheeran revealed that their fame puts them in similar positions, making Swift one of the few people who truly understands where he’s at. “She’s one of the only people that actually truly understands where I’m at,” Sheeran said.
