New Delhi, December 14: Actor Eijaz Khan, who has seamlessly transitioned from television to films and OTT platforms, opened up about his experience working on the blockbuster Jawan and the valuable lessons he learned from the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer.
Eijaz, known for his roles in Tanu Weds Manu and other notable projects, played the character Manish Gaikwad, brother to Vijay Sethupathi’s antagonist in the Atlee-directed action-thriller. Reflecting on the film’s success, Eijaz said, “Being part of Jawan felt like a dream. It has spoilt me. After working on this film, I feel the need to push myself further and strive for better work with every project.”
Jawan featured Shah Rukh Khan in a dual role, supported by an ensemble cast including Vijay Sethupathi, Deepika Padukone, Nayanthara, Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, and more. Sharing his biggest takeaway from the film, Eijaz remarked, “One thing I learned is that talent alone isn’t enough. The people who truly succeed are those who never stop working harder, even after achieving fame and fortune. Their efforts are constant, and each success adds to their sense of responsibility to do better.”
Eijaz further elaborated on the work ethic displayed by his co-stars and the production team, noting how the relentless pursuit of excellence inspired him to elevate his own craft.
Beyond Jawan, Eijaz Khan has also garnered attention for his performance in the OTT film Zabt, streaming on Prasar Bharati’s platform, Waves. The movie, co-starring Rahul Dev and Manoj Joshi, tells the story of an ambitious man who moves to Mumbai in pursuit of success but faces unexpected challenges after borrowing money from an underworld don. The film delves into his struggles to recover the stolen money and navigate the mysteries of his past.
With a career spanning television, cinema, and OTT platforms, Eijaz Khan continues to establish himself as a versatile performer. His experience in Jawan appears to have set a new benchmark for his future endeavors, promising fans even more impactful performances.
