Ek Din Teaser Out: Junaid Khan Chases Love, Sai Pallavi Shines in Bollywood Debut
The makers of Ek Din, starring Junaid Khan and Sai Pallavi, have finally unveiled the film’s teaser, offering audiences a soft, romantic glimpse into their love story. Backed by Aamir Khan Productions, the teaser has struck a chord online, with many viewers praising its freshness and emotional simplicity.
Released on Friday, the teaser opens with tender moments between Junaid and Sai Pallavi, setting a dreamy, intimate tone. Junaid’s voiceover reflects his character’s quiet hopefulness as he says, “Your smile, Meera — I like it a lot. I don’t know whether I will win your heart or not, but are they really dreams if they are not beyond reach?” The montage of gentle romance concludes with Sai’s line, “Films have so much magic in them, but it doesn’t happen in real life,” to which Junaid replies, “It happens — magic.”
The teaser’s caption, “Some stories don’t need time,” further amplified the romantic mood, and fans were quick to respond. Social media users described the teaser as “fresh,” “soothing,” and “a much-needed silver lining in Bollywood.” Many praised the chemistry between the lead pair and the calming title track, calling the teaser a refreshing change from formula-driven promos.
Directed by Sunil Pandey and written by Sneha Desai and Spandan Mishra, Ek Din is reportedly a remake of the Thai film One Day. The romantic drama is produced by Aamir Khan, Mansoor Khan and Aparna Purohit, and is slated for a theatrical release on May 1, 2026.
The film marks Sai Pallavi’s official Bollywood debut and Junaid Khan’s second outing in the romantic genre. While Junaid’s earlier film Loveyapa struggled at the box office, it found appreciation after its OTT release. With Ek Din, audiences will be keen to see if the pairing resonates more strongly.
Following Ek Din, Sai Pallavi will be seen as Sita in Nitesh Tiwari’s ambitious Ramayana, starring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama and Yash as Ravana. The first part of the epic is scheduled for a Diwali 2026 release.
