
Ekta Kapoor And Her Mother Shobha Booked Under POCSO Act For Objectionable Scenes In Series 'Gandi Baat'
October 20, 2024: Ekta Kapoor and her mother, Shobha Kapoor, are facing legal issues following a complaint filed under the POCSO Act.
The case stems from an episode of their web series Gandi Baat (season 6) on ALT Balaji, which allegedly contained inappropriate scenes involving minor girls. The complaint was registered at MHB police station in Mumbai and cites violations of several laws, including sections 295-A of the IPC and the IT Act, as well as sections 13 and 15 of the POCSO Act.
The controversial content aired between February and April 2021 but is no longer available on the platform.
Amidst this legal battle, Ekta’s film Love, Sex Aur Dhokha 2 was released in theaters on April 19.
