Ekta Kapoor’s Cryptic Jibe at Ram Kapoor Amid Ozempic Claims: “Hum Bade Hi Acche Lagte Hain”

After Ram Kapoor dismissed Ozempic rumors about his weight loss, Ekta Kapoor’s Instagram post sparked speculation of an indirect dig at the actor.

March 12, 2025: The ongoing cold war between two of Indian television’s biggest names, Ekta Kapoor and Ram Kapoor, seems to have escalated further. The latest stir began when Ekta Kapoor shared a cryptic video on Instagram, questioning different weight loss methods and subtly referencing Ram Kapoor’s dramatic transformation.

In her post, the television mogul pondered, “Should I take pharmaceutical drugs like Mounjaro and Ozempic, follow an anti-inflammatory diet, or just keep quiet?” However, it was her closing remark, “Ya chhod doon, hum bade hi acche lagte hain”, that caught fans’ attention—an apparent twist on the title of Ram Kapoor’s iconic show, Bade Achhe Lagte Hain.

Ram Kapoor’s Ozempic Denial

The subtle jibe follows Ram Kapoor’s recent statement addressing speculation that his 55-kg weight loss was aided by Ozempic, a popular weight-loss drug. In a video, Ram dismissed the claims, saying,

“This transformation took long hours and hard work. No shortcuts, no surgery, no Ozempic. Within four to six months, I will get a six-pack, and that has to be done the hard way.”

He also added that those who do opt for Ozempic or surgery shouldn’t be judged, saying, “Good for them.”

The Bade Achhe Lagte Hain Feud

This isn’t the first time Ekta Kapoor and Ram Kapoor have been at odds publicly. Their tensions date back to an interview in which Ram Kapoor spoke about his discomfort with an on-screen kiss with Sakshi Tanwar in Bade Achhe Lagte Hain, despite the scene being approved by Ekta Kapoor.

Defending himself in an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Ram Kapoor said:
“As an actor, I have to follow the script. I couldn’t say ‘No’ to something, so I didn’t do anything wrong.”

In response, Ekta Kapoor fired back on her Instagram story with a pointed remark:
“Unprofessional actors giving interviews about my shows should shut up! False information and skewed stories. Can only last till I talk… but there is dignity in silence.”

With both stars unwilling to back down, their public spat continues to fuel conversations among fans. Whether Ekta’s latest comment was a playful jab or an intentional dig at Ram Kapoor remains open to speculation.
