In the video, Ekta Kapoor, appearing alongside her brother Tusshar Kapoor, referred to Radhika as "attractive in a horsey way" while discussing Tusshar’s rumoured romance with her.
At the time, Radhika Apte was a relatively new face in Bollywood, gaining recognition for her role in Shor in the City. Rumors linking her to Tusshar Kapoor were widely circulated, though Radhika later revealed that the alleged relationship was nothing more than a publicity stunt. In a conversation with Mashable India, she clarified, "They only spread some link-up rumors about me and Tusshar. I was studying for my exams in London and was clueless about it."

Despite Ekta's comment being over a decade old, fans were quick to criticize her behavior when the clip resurfaced. Radhika, for her part, addressed the incident during a later interview with Neha Dhupia, stating, "I still really don’t know why this was said," while acknowledging that Ekta had been kind to her otherwise.
Today, Radhika Apte is celebrated for her versatile performances in Bollywood and beyond. Recently, she welcomed her first child, a daughter, with her husband, British musician Benedict Taylor, whom she married in 2012.
