Elizabeth Olsen To Star In FX’s ‘Seven Sisters’ Drama Series, Directed By Sean Durkin

March 13, 2025: FX has officially given a pilot order for Seven Sisters, a new drama series starring Elizabeth Olsen, with Sean Durkin set to direct. The show marks a reunion for Olsen and Durkin, who previously collaborated on the 2011 critically acclaimed film Martha Marcy May Marlene.

In Seven Sisters, Olsen plays one of the sisters who begins to communicate with a voice that no one else can hear, setting off a series of events that force her tight-knit family to confront deeply buried secrets. The series is written by Will Arbery, and the pilot is produced by FX Productions.

This project brings together an impressive team of talent, including Durkin, known for his work on The Iron Claw, and executive producers Garrett Basch, who has worked on successful series like Devs and Reservation Dogs. Basch has also been involved in the upcoming noir drama Tulsa, starring Ethan Hawke. Arbery, who is known for his work on HBO’s Succession, also brings his writing expertise to the show, having won a WGA Award for Episodic Drama.

Olsen, fresh off her role in Marvel’s WandaVision, is currently involved in several upcoming projects. She stars alongside Alicia Vikander in The Assessment and will feature in the romantic comedy Eternity alongside Miles Teller and Callum Turner. Additionally, Olsen is set to star with Julia Roberts in Panic Carefully, a thriller from Warner Bros.
