January 20, 2025: Kangana Ranaut’s much-anticipated biographical political thriller Emergency, centered on the life and tenure of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, continues its steady performance at the box office. The film, which marks Kangana’s directorial debut, crossed the ₹10 crore mark within three days of its release.

Box Office Update

As per Sacnilk, Emergency minted ₹4.35 crore on its third day, showing a slight improvement from its Day 2 collection of ₹3.6 crore. The film had a modest opening on Day 1, collecting ₹2.5 crore. The cumulative box office earnings now stand at ₹10.45 crore.

On its third day, Emergency recorded an 18.96% occupancy in Hindi theatres, indicating a steady audience interest.

Kangana portrays the late Prime Minister, while an ensemble cast, including Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Mahima Chaudhry, Milind Soman, and the late Satish Kaushik, brings other pivotal political figures to life.
