Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran’s much-anticipated sequel Empuraan has set the box office on fire, collecting an impressive ₹265.5 crore worldwide.
Despite facing controversies around its release on March 27, the multilingual political thriller opened to massive numbers. According to trade tracker Sacnilk, Empuraan earned ₹87.56 crore in Kerala alone, reaffirming Mohanlal’s box office dominance. The film grossed ₹14 crore on opening day and ₹44 crore over its debut weekend.
