
Empuraan Lifetime Collection: Produced at ₹175 Cr. Mohanlal’s Flick Crosses ₹265 Crore Globally-Becomes a Huge Blockbuster

Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran’s much-anticipated sequel Empuraan has set the box office on fire, collecting an impressive ₹265.5 crore worldwide.
Despite facing controversies around its release on March 27, the multilingual political thriller opened to massive numbers. According to trade tracker Sacnilk, Empuraan earned ₹87.56 crore in Kerala alone, reaffirming Mohanlal’s box office dominance. The film grossed ₹14 crore on opening day and ₹44 crore over its debut weekend.
Notably, Empuraan‘s box office performance in Karnataka even rivaled that of top Rajinikanth films, showcasing its pan-India appeal.

The digital and TV rights for Empuraan were reportedly acquired by JioCinema and Disney+ Hotstar for a significant sum, reflecting the film’s immense popularity.
