Emraan Hashmi, Tejas Deoskar Tease ‘Ground Zero’ Sequel Ahead Of Historic Srinagar Premiere

April 18, 2025: Emraan Hashmi and director Tejas Prabha Vijay Deoskar have arrived in Srinagar for the historic premiere of their film ‘Ground Zero’, marking the first red carpet movie screening in the city in 38 years.

The duo, both excited and ready for the special event, were spotted riding through the city in a golf course, sharing a light-hearted conversation as they passed through the scenic location. During their ride, Emraan humorously revealed that although he had received golf training in the past, he had forgotten the game over time.

“I have actually got training in golf, but I have forgotten how to play the game now,” Emraan said. “But I want to learn golf all over again. Just to come here and play? Just to come here again and again.”

In response, the director teased a potential sequel to their film, jokingly suggesting that ‘Ground Zero Part Two’ could be set on a golf course. “So, Ground Zero Part Two? On a golf course? Yes. We’ll have a training session here, and then practice over here. Absolutely,” Deoskar playfully added.

The premiere screening is set to be a momentous event, with ‘Ground Zero’ becoming the first film to have its screening in Srinagar in almost four decades. The film, which honors the bravery of Border Security Force (BSF) soldiers, is a tribute to their courage and sacrifice.

A Tribute to BSF Soldiers

Emraan Hashmi stars as Commandant Narendra Nath Dhar Dubey in the film, who leads a two-year-long investigation based on the BSF’s most daring operation in the last 50 years. The film brings to life a true story of service, sacrifice, and strength, set against the backdrop of the Kashmir region.

Speaking about the special screening, Emraan described the event as a “landmark day” for the city. Both the actor and director shared a selfie upon their arrival in Srinagar, marking the moment as a significant one for the city and for the film’s impact.

In their social media post, the team wrote: “Touchdown… landmark day: first Red carpet movie screening after 38 years in #Srinagar. This is a special movie screening to honor BSF soldiers and their officers.”

With soldiers and officers from the BSF attending as guests of honor, the screening serves as both a tribute and a celebration of their dedication to safeguarding the nation.
