March 24, 2025: Excel Entertainment has revealed the official release date for their highly anticipated action thriller, Ground Zero, starring Emraan Hashmi in the lead role. The film is set to hit theatres on April 25, 2025. Along with this announcement, the makers shared that the teaser for Ground Zero will be unveiled this week and will be attached to Salman Khan’s upcoming film, Sikandar.
Ground Zero is inspired by the Border Security Force’s (BSF) most successful operation in the last 50 years. Emraan Hashmi plays a Deputy Commandant in the BSF, leading a high-stakes two-year investigation into a national security threat. The film brings to light an untold battle that remained hidden from the public eye and highlights the bravery and dedication of the forces involved, which was officially awarded in 2015.
Directed by Tejas Deoskar, Ground Zero promises an intense mix of action, emotion, and patriotism, while exploring themes of courage, sacrifice, and the unseen struggles faced by the defenders of the nation. Emraan Hashmi’s performance is expected to captivate audiences as he portrays a character facing the challenges and emotional toll of military life.
The film marks Emraan’s return to the big screen after his role in the web series Showtime, and with Ground Zero, he is set to showcase a gripping and impactful role in this patriotic thriller.
