An Intense Desire to Protect Her Future Children

In a conversation with Gulte, which began with The Girlfriend‘s director, Rahul Ravindran, speaking about his own children, Rashmika Mandanna opened up about her deeply felt maternal instincts.

Even though she isn’t a mother yet, she admitted the feeling is already powerful. “I’m not even a mother, but I already feel… I know I’m gonna have kids, and I love that that’s going to happen. But I already feel something so strongly for these little humans that are not even born yet,” she shared.

Her desire to protect them is already a driving force in her life. Rashmika explained, “I want to do everything for them. I want to keep them so safe, so protected. And if I’m supposed to get into a war, I need to be fit enough to go to war for them. I’m already thinking about that.”

Her Future Timeline: Work Now, Balance Later

Rashmika also offered clarity on the professional timeline she has set for herself, outlining a thoughtful plan for balancing her demanding career with her personal life.

Ages 20 to 30: This decade has been about focused career building. “I always had in mind that twenty to thirty is the time to put your head down and keep working,” she said, acknowledging the societal expectation to establish financial independence.
Ages 30 to 40: This period will be dedicated to finding a true work-life balance. “I knew that thirty to forty was always going to be about work-life balance, and I have to ensure that it happens,” she affirmed.
Ages 40 onwards: The actress hasn’t yet planned the details of her life after 40.
