The video, posted on Instagram on Thursday, is particularly notable for featuring rare family moments that include photographs of Dharmendra’s first wife, Prakash Kaur, and their children, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol.

A Glimpse into Dharmendra’s Life and Legacy

The tribute is a heartfelt montage that blends clips from Dharmendra’s memorable film career, including a cherished moment of the legendary Dilip Kumar praising him at an award ceremony. Beyond his life on screen, Esha’s video offered a personal glimpse into the actor’s family life. It showcased pictures with his first family—Prakash Kaur, Sunny, Bobby, Vijeta, and Ajeeta Deol—along with touching memories featuring Esha, her mother Hema Malini, and Dharmendra sharing the screen with his sons. A picture of Dharmendra with his grandson, Karan Deol, was also included.

This touching tribute comes amidst reports of the family holding separate prayer meetings following Dharmendra’s passing. The veteran actor died at the age of 89 on November 24, just days before what would have been his 90th birthday on December 8.

• Delhi Meet: Hema Malini, Dharmendra’s second wife, and her daughters, Esha Deol and Ahana Deol, held a separate prayer meeting in Delhi on December 11. Hema Malini and her daughters had not attended the Mumbai ceremony and instead held a private ceremony at their own residence on the same day as the Mumbai event.

Dharmendra was married to Prakash Kaur in 1954, with whom he had four children. He later married Hema Malini in 1980, and they have two daughters, Esha and Ahana.
