March 8, 2025: Esha Deol, who has been a prominent face in Bollywood, is making her return to the big screen after a long gap with Vikram Bhatt’s upcoming project, Tumko Meri Kasam. While she has continued to work in web series like Rudra: The Edge of Darkness and Hunter: Tootega Nahi Todega, Tumko Meri Kasam marks her first major film appearance in a while, and she couldn’t be more thrilled.
Esha shared her excitement about the film, saying, “I am coming on the big screen after a long time. I have been working for the past four or five years and doing web series and short films, but Tumko Meri Kasam is very special to me. After a long time, I am looking at myself on the big screen and doing what I started my career with.”

Directed by Vikram Bhatt, Tumko Meri Kasam also stars Anupam Kher, Ishwak Singh, Adah Sharma, and Esha Deol in key roles. The film, loosely inspired by the life of Dr. Ajay Murdia, the founder of Indira IVF, is a human drama that features two timelines: one with Esha and Anupam Kher, and another with Adah Sharma and Ishwak Singh. The story flows seamlessly between the past and the present, keeping the audience engaged throughout.
Esha spoke about her character, revealing, “It is a courtroom drama, and it is the first time I am playing a defence lawyer, which is a challenging role, and I have to do it with subtle intensity.” She emphasized the intriguing aspect of the film’s structure, which alternates between the two timelines, keeping the narrative fresh and gripping.
On working again with Vikram Bhatt, Esha shared a sense of familiarity and trust, having previously collaborated with him on the 2006 film Ankahee. She praised Vikram’s approach to directing, saying, “He is the kind of director who gives actors the space to perform, never gets distracted, and is a multitasker. He really brings out the best in his actors.”
The recently released trailer of Tumko Meri Kasam shows Anupam Kher facing murder charges and trying to clear his name, while Adah Sharma’s character supports her husband’s dream of starting an IVF clinic despite facing societal judgment. Esha plays a prominent role in the movie, and her portrayal as a lawyer adds a layer of intensity to the courtroom drama.
Interestingly, Tumko Meri Kasam also marks the debut of Vikram Bhatt as a lyricist, with music by Prateek Walia and lyrics by Vikram Bhatt and Shweta Bothra. The film, presented by Mahesh Bhatt and produced by Indira Entertainment, is set to release on March 21.
As the daughter of legendary actors Dharmendra and Hema Malini, Esha has featured in several big films like Dhoom, Dus, and No Entry. Looking ahead, she shared that she is open to doing more challenging roles that align with her age. “If I get such stories, definitely, I would love to be part of it,” she said.
With Tumko Meri Kasam marking her return to mainstream cinema, Esha Deol is excited to see her fans reconnect with her on the big screen, showcasing her acting prowess in a completely new avatar.
