‘Euphoria’ Season 3, ‘The White Lotus’ Set To Premiere On These Dates

December 4, 2024: The long-awaited third season of Euphoria is officially set to premiere in 2026, according to Warner Bros. Discovery’s global streaming chief, JB Perrette, as reported by E! Online. Fans of the hit drama series have been eagerly awaiting the next chapter in Rue’s story, but several setbacks, including the 2023 WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, have delayed production. The third season will begin filming in January 2024, though some prominent cast members will be missing.

The tragic passing of Angus Cloud, who portrayed Fezco, in July 2023, left a significant void in the show, and his character’s fate is a key point of uncertainty heading into the new season. Cloud’s death, which followed an accidental drug overdose, has left fans grieving and speculating about how Fezco will be written out. Additionally, Storm Reid has announced her departure from the series, adding another layer of change to the cast.

Barbie Ferreira, who played Kat Hernandez, also exited the series, leaving fans wondering if her character will be written out. Despite these challenges, the core cast, including Zendaya (Rue), Jacob Elordi (Nate), Sydney Sweeney (Cassie), Alexa Demie (Maddy), and Hunter Schafer (Jules), are expected to return.

In the meantime, HBO has confirmed the return of The White Lotus for a third season, which will premiere in February 2025. The Emmy-winning anthology series, created by Mike White, has been a massive success, with its first two seasons receiving critical acclaim and multiple Emmy wins. Season 3 of The White Lotus will be set in Thailand, continuing the format of exploring the lives of wealthy guests at a luxury resort. A new cast will join the show, including Patrick Schwarzenegger and Natasha Rothwell (who returns as Belinda). However, familiar faces from previous seasons, such as Jennifer Coolidge, Aubrey Plaza, and Theo James, are unlikely to return.

Season 1, set in Hawaii, earned 20 Emmy nominations and won 10 awards, including Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series. The second season, set in Sicily, continued its success, receiving 23 Emmy nominations and winning five awards, including Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for Jennifer Coolidge and Outstanding Casting for a Drama Series.
