Ex-Girlfriend Selena Gomez Shows Support for Hailey Bieber Amidst Justin’s Instagram Drama

Selena’s subtle “like” on Hailey’s brand post speaks volumes as fans rally around the model’s ongoing relationship woes.

May 24, 2025: Earlier this week, Hailey Bieber’s skincare brand, Rhode Skin, posted a simple product update on Instagram featuring Hailey herself posing with the brand’s Glazing Milk. Ordinarily, this would be just another promotional post from a beauty brand owner and model. But what made it noteworthy was who “liked” it.

Selena Gomez, the most-followed woman on Instagram, tapped “like” on Hailey’s Rhode update. For most of us, liking a post is an afterthought. But for Selena, who knows that every move she makes online is watched by millions, this was a deliberate public show of support.

Many fans interpreted Selena’s gesture not just as an endorsement of the Rhode product, but as a quiet sign of solidarity with Hailey personally.

The Timing Matters
The show of support came at a telling moment. Just days earlier, on May 20, Justin Bieber had posted a photo of Hailey’s Vogue cover alongside a bizarre confession. In the caption, Justin admitted he once told Hailey during an argument that she “would never be on the cover of Vogue” — a petty jab that he has since recanted.

“Yikes, I know, so mean,” he wrote. He added that he said it “because I felt so disrespected” and wanted to “get even,” before asking Hailey to “forgive” him.

The post was widely seen as an awkward and troubling confession. Hours later, Justin deleted the caption, replacing it with a series of emojis.

Selena’s Support and Fan Reactions
When fans saw Selena’s “like” on Hailey’s Rhode Skin update, they immediately took notice. “Not Selena being more supportive towards Hailey than her own husband,” one fan quipped in the comments.

Though rumors have long swirled about tension between the two women, Selena has never publicly shown any animosity toward Hailey. In fact, many fans have speculated that Selena pities Hailey, who married Justin just seven months after his final breakup with Selena.

As the drama between Hailey and Justin continues to play out publicly, Selena’s quiet show of support only underscores her steady presence and self-assured independence. For Hailey, who was recently seen attending the 2025 Met Gala without her husband, it was surely a moment of validation in an otherwise turbulent time.
