Extravagance Unveiled : The Ambani-Merchant Pre-Wedding Bash

The grand pre-wedding celebration of Radhika Merchant and Anant Ambani was an event that will not be easily forgotten. Said to have cost the Ambanis over Rs. 1200 Crores, it had the who’s who attending the event from all overthe world.

The gala affair was marked with performances of some of the most popular and celebrated International and Indian artists.

Rihanna, Akon, the three Khans Shahrukh, Salmaan and Amir, Lucky Ali, Arijit Singh, Shreya Ghoshal and many more performed in the three day ceremony.

Rihanna

Rihanna, the global pop sensation, is believed to have charged approximately Rs. 66-74 crores for a two hour performance.

The pop star, performed her hits such as like ”Diamonds,” “All Of The Lights,” and “We Found Love In A Hopeless Place.”

The Three Khans- Amir, Shahrukh & Salmaan Khan

A lot of people think that the Ambanis must have spent a huge sum of money to get the three Khans, the superstars of Bollywood, together. But what did they actually charge is still a mystery.

According to a report on Times Now, The three Khans, apparently didn’t charge anything. “Bringing the three Khans together was an impromptu decision”, the report said.

Another viral post on LinkedIn sparked speculations that Aamir, SRK and Salman combined were paid less than what Rihanna took home for performing at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s cocktail party.

Daljit Dosanjh:

Diljit Dosanjh performed at the three day event and had the guests on their feet. He also had SRK and his daughter Suhana Khan, along with Ananya Panday, Navya Naveli Nanda, and Shanaya Kapoor dancing with him.

According to DNA reports, he usually charges around Rs. 4 crores to perform at marriage ceremonies.

Akon:

Akon’s association with India is from a very long period of time. Akon performed “Chammak Challo” from 2011 SRK film ‘Ra. One’ in the event.

According to sources, the musician charges Rs 2 crore to Rs 4 crore for a private performance.

Arijit Singh:

This massive pre-wedding party wouldn’t be the same without Arijit Singh singing out his favorite songs. The singer, delighted the audience with his performance of popular songs including Barfi (2012) Phir Le Aaya Dil.

Indian Express reports state that Arjit usually charges roughly around Rs 5 crore to perform at private events.

Shreya Ghoshal:

Shreya Ghoshal also performed at the gala event including, the song ‘Mera Dholna’ from Bhool Bhulaiyaa that she performed with Arijit Singh.

According to reports, it is believed that she charges upwards of Rs, 25 Lakhs for a single song.

Lucky Ali

Lucky Ali, created an enchanting mood on the concluding day of the celebrations. He sang his extremely popular song ‘O Sanam’, that the audience later hummed with him.

Pritam

He sang ‘Teri Ore’ with Shreya Ghoshal and then he sang Veer Zaara’s ‘Main Yahaan Hoon’ with Udit Narayan.

According to reports, Pritam costs around Rs 40-50 lakhs to perform at a wedding.

Udit Narayan:

Udit Narayan, also took the at the Ambani extravaganza. The singer sang with Pritam the Veer Zaara’s song ‘Main Yahaan Hoon’. SRK and Gauri Khan danced along.

Udit Narayan charges around Rs 22-30 lakhs for a private event.
