Eyewitness Recounts Liam Payne’s Haunting Fall in Upcoming Documentary

December 16, 2024: In the trailer for Liam Payne: Who’s To Blame?, an upcoming documentary by TMZ, eyewitness Bret Watson has spoken out about witnessing the harrowing fall of former One Direction star Liam Payne in Buenos Aires. Watson, who was at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in October, recalled the traumatic incident as something he will “never forget.”

The Eyewitness Account

Watson, who had been on a video call with his wedding planner at the time, described the haunting moment when Payne fell from the hotel’s third floor. Speaking to TMZ, he said, “We happened to be looking out the window at the pool area to show her the view, and we saw Liam fall. He landed face up and was motionless. We could tell right away that it was Liam.”

Visibly shaken, Watson recalled the immediate shock. “The wedding planner and I just stared at each other, frozen. It was like time stopped.” He added that the sound of the impact was even more haunting than the visual of the fall itself. “It’s burned into my brain. It’s something I’m never going to forget.”

The Documentary: ‘Liam Payne: Who’s To Blame?’

The documentary also features an interview with Payne’s close friend, Rogelio ‘Roger’ Nores, who shared his perspective on the singer’s behavior leading up to the tragedy. Roger refuted claims of erratic behavior, emphasizing that Liam had been in good spirits on the day of the incident. “He was perfectly balanced, joking, laughing, and speaking with guests here for a wedding,” Roger told The Mirror.

He added, “There was nothing out of the ordinary. Liam seemed happy and relaxed. It makes what happened even harder to comprehend.”
