Fact Check: Kanye West’s Alleged Lawsuit Against Kim Kardashian Over Kids and Met Gala Turns Out to Be a Hoax!

Reports initially suggested that Kanye sent a cease and desist letter to Kim, accusing her of neglecting their children and posting their images online without his consent. However, new information indicates that the legal notice may be a hoax.

According to TMZ, the purported letter from an attorney representing Kanye raised concerns over the welfare and custody of their four children: North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm West. The document allegedly demanded that Kim cease any actions that infringe on Kanye’s parental rights or violate their joint custody agreement finalized in November 2022.

The letter also claimed Kim endangered their daughter North by allegedly leaving her unsupervised during the Met Gala and permitting social media posts Kanye has long opposed. But red flags quickly surfaced—TMZ found no credible record of the law firm supposedly behind the letter, which was said to be based in Palma, Spain. A similarly named firm in the Canary Islands has a non-functional website, casting serious doubt on its authenticity.

Both parties have since refuted the letter. Kim’s legal team dismissed it as a stunt, while Kanye’s representatives also denied sending any such document.

This isn’t the first time Kanye has voiced concerns about parenting decisions and social media exposure involving his kids. He’s previously criticized Kim for not allowing him proper access to their children and for making decisions he claims violate their custody agreement.

The situation remains unclear, but the latest developments point to possible misinformation rather than a genuine legal escalation.
