Fans Celebrate Release of Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan Starrer 'Kalki 2898 AD'
As the much-awaited Prabhas starrer ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ hit theatres today, fans flocked to cinema halls to watch the movie and their favorite stars on screen. The film stars an ensemble cast, including Amitabh Bachchan, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Kamal Haasan.
Fans could be seen gathering outside theatres at different locations. In Hyderabad, scores of people reached Sandhya Theatre, dancing to the beats of the dhol and putting up cutouts and posters of actor Prabhas. A similar excitement was observed among fans in Mumbai, with several people arriving at a movie theatre in Chembur to catch the morning show.
While speaking to ANI, a Prabhas fan expressed his happiness and shared, “We traveled here from Alibaug. We are huge fans of Prabhas.” Another fan added, “Prabhas is good in the film. Such big films come in 2-3 years. It is a good film…”
Meanwhile, the makers of ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ recently unveiled an intriguing poster of Kamal Haasan’s character Yaskin. Kamal Haasan sports a bald look with a crack on his skull in the poster, which has been making headlines since the trailer’s release. The poster, shared on the official Instagram handle of the film, was captioned, “The one and only SUPREME YASKIN.. @ikamalhaasan.”
The latest trailer for the film begins with Amitabh Bachchan’s character, Ashwathama, speaking to Deepika Padukone’s character, saying, “They say the whole universe resides within God. But God himself resides in your womb.” More characters are introduced in the second trailer, adding to the anticipation.
Directed by Nag Ashwin, this post-apocalyptic film is inspired by Hindu scriptures and is set in the year 2898 AD. The film also features Disha Patani and promises a thrilling cinematic experience.
