Bollywood filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan has sparked a fresh debate over the box office performance of her 2010 directorial, Tees Maar Khan, starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif.
Responding to a social media post that labeled the movie as a commercial “flop,” the Om Shanti Om director was quick to defend the film. Taking to Instagram, Khan set the record straight on the film’s earnings.
“Just for your knowledge, it made ₹60 crore then! Not a flop… just ripped apart,” she wrote, suggesting the movie was financially successful but failed to meet critical or public expectations.
Fans Side with Farah on the Film’s Legacy
Farah Khan’s defense soon made its way to platforms like Reddit, where fans largely supported her assertion, suggesting the film has found a new audience over time.
