Farhan Akhtar’s ‘120 Bahadur’ Teaser Unveiled: A Riveting Glimpse into the Heroic 1962 Indo-China War

Farhan Akhtar Returns to the Big Screen as Param Vir Chakra Recipient Maj. Shaitan Singh Bhati in This Epic True Story, Releasing November 21.

Mumbai, Maharashtra – August 5, 2025: The wait is finally over! The official teaser for the highly-anticipated film ‘120 Bahadur’ starring Farhan Akhtar was unveiled on Tuesday, offering a heart-pounding and gripping glimpse into one of the most heroic chapters of Indian military history—the 1962 Indo-China war. The film marks Farhan’s powerful return to the big screen after a hiatus of nearly five years.

In the film, Farhan takes on the role of Major Shaitan Singh Bhati, a Param Vir Chakra awardee and a celebrated figure in the annals of the Indian Army. The teaser sets a chilling tone, opening with the rising tensions between India and China before Farhan, in his uniform, delivers a spine-tingling line that captures the film’s essence: “Hum piche nahi hatenge” (We will not step back). This defiant promise echoes the courage and sacrifice of the Indian soldiers.

Another powerful dialogue from the teaser drives home the film’s core theme: “Yeh wardi sirf himmat nahi, balidan bhi mangti hai” (The uniform not just asks for courage, but also sacrifice). The film is a poignant tribute to the 120 soldiers of the Charlie Company, 13 Kumaon Regiment, who, in an incredible display of valor, held their ground against an estimated 3,000 Chinese troops at the legendary Battle of Rezang La.

The makers shared the teaser with a powerful message that read, “A moment in history where courage refused to fail,” underscoring the unwavering bravery of the forces who fought for their country. On his social media, Farhan Akhtar further described the project as an “incredible true story” and “a war forged in snow and sealed with sacrifice.”

The film was first announced in September 2024, with Farhan revealing his look as Maj. Shaitan Singh. It is billed as a tribute to the indomitable spirit of the Indian armed forces. Shot across challenging locations in Ladakh, Rajasthan, and Mumbai, the filmmakers have masterfully recreated the chilling realism of the war front. From the frozen terrains to the battlefield silence, every frame promises to carry immense emotional weight. The film also features Raashii Khanna in a special appearance opposite Farhan.

Directed by Razneesh ‘Razy’ Ghai and produced by Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar, and Amit Chandrra, ‘120 Bahadur’ is set to release in theatres on November 21, 2025.
