Fateh Box Office Day 7 Prediction: Sonu Sood’s Debut Directorial Poised to Surpass ₹11 Crores in Opening Week
January 16, 2025: Sonu Sood’s directorial debut, Fateh, featuring a stellar ensemble cast, is steadily climbing the box office charts with its gripping action and cybercrime narrative.
Fateh, helmed by Sonu Sood, marks a turning point in his career as he dons multiple hats as a director, writer, producer, and lead actor. The action-thriller, starring Jacqueline Fernandez, Vijay Raaz, Naseeruddin Shah, and Dibyendu Bhattacharya, has piqued audience interest with its intense trailer and high-octane action sequences.
The film portrays Sood as a former special ops officer returning to tackle a notorious cybercrime syndicate. Jacqueline Fernandez adds depth to the storyline, portraying an ethical hacker who assists in the mission. Despite inevitable comparisons to Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal, Fateh stands out for its engaging narrative and the ensemble’s compelling performances.
According to industry tracker Sacnilk:
Addressing comparisons to Animal, Sood told India Today Digital:
“We hired 70-80 fighters for three major action sequences. After showcasing them in one sequence, we reused them with masks for logistical reasons. While this drew comparisons to Animal, it was a practical necessity.”
With its gripping cybercrime theme, thrilling action sequences, and Sonu Sood’s passion project status, Fateh is gradually carving its space at the box office despite stiff competition.
