‘Fateh’: Sonu Sood To Dedicate Movie Collection To Old Age Homes

December 15, 2024: Actor Sonu Sood made a meaningful contribution to the #DrugFreeFuture initiative at the Gift City Run in Ahmedabad on Saturday, where he joined the event to raise awareness about drug abuse. The initiative, now in its third season, aims to tackle the growing problem of substance abuse and promote a healthier, drug-free lifestyle.

Sonu expressed his joy at seeing so many enthusiastic and fit individuals running early in the morning. He said, “It feels great to see people, to see such fit people early in the morning. You can see the enthusiasm among them… It feels proud to see so many people run, you feel like running with them.”

In addition to supporting this vital cause, Sonu also shared his philanthropic plans regarding his upcoming film Fateh. The actor, who stars in this action-packed thriller, revealed that the film’s collection will be donated to old age homes and orphanages. Sonu explained, “Fateh is based on cybercrime, where people face cyber fraud every day. It is an action film on that… It will make people aware of how to stay safe from cybercrime… Fateh is a film made for the people of the country. We will try to send the film’s collection to old age homes and orphanages.”

Fateh, which tackles the serious issue of cybercrime, is inspired by real-life instances of fraud and scams that became rampant during the COVID-19 pandemic. The film follows a gripping tale of courage, resilience, and the battle against digital deception. Sonu Sood will be sharing the screen with a talented cast including Jacqueline Fernandez, Vijay Raaz, and the legendary Naseeruddin Shah. The film also boasts a highly skilled crew, with prominent names from Hollywood joining in as the director of photography, action choreographers, and the research team.

Earlier, the makers released the teaser for Fateh, which piqued the interest of fans. The teaser begins with the phrase, “Never underestimate a nobody,” followed by a chilling voiceover from Sonu’s character, as he coolly corrects someone about his kill count: “I killed 50 people on March 19, not 40. You’ll never find those ten bodies,” he says ominously, adding, “Bhagvaan unki atma ko shanti de.” Sonu shared the teaser on his official X (formerly Twitter) handle with the caption, “AA RAHA HOON… Action speaks louder than words. #Fateh! Brace yourselves for the biggest action-packed thriller!”

Produced by Shakti Sagar Productions and Zee Studios, Fateh is slated for release on January 10, 2025, and promises to be a high-octane thriller that not only entertains but educates viewers on the dangers of cybercrime. Sonu Sood’s commitment to both social causes and impactful cinema continues to resonate with his fans, making him a role model both on and off the screen.
