Fawad Khan, Vaani Kapoor Spark Magic In Teaser Of Romantic Track ‘Khudaya Ishq’ From Abir Gulaal

April 11, 2025: Fans of cross-border cinema are buzzing with excitement as Pakistani heartthrob Fawad Khan and Bollywood star Vaani Kapoor are all set to weave magic on the silver screen with their upcoming love story, ‘Abir Gulaal’. The film, directed by Aarti S. Bagdi, promises a tale of emotional healing and unexpected romance.

Following the recently released teaser of the film, the makers have now dropped a glimpse of the movie’s first song, ‘Khudaya Ishq’, which they’re calling the “love anthem of the year.” In the short teaser, fans are treated to a visual of a mesmerized Fawad watching Vaani walk toward him in a traditional outfit, capturing the essence of timeless romance.

Vaani Kapoor took to Instagram to share the teaser with the caption:
“Get ready for the love anthem of the year! ‘Khudaya Ishq’ is almost here! Bringing love back with Abir Gulaal — in cinemas on 9th May!”

The film’s narrative centers around two emotionally scarred individuals who, through chance encounters and heartfelt connections, find comfort, growth, and ultimately, love in each other. A glimpse into this chemistry was shared in the earlier teaser, which featured Fawad and Vaani sharing an intimate moment inside a car, enjoying the rain and a flirtatious exchange.
“Are you flirting with me?” Vaani’s character asks.
“Do you want me to?” Fawad responds with his signature charm.

This film marks Fawad Khan’s return to Bollywood after nearly nine years, following his last appearance in Karan Johar’s ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ (2016). Due to geopolitical tensions and the ban on Pakistani artists post the Uri attack, Fawad’s Bollywood journey was paused, much to the disappointment of his Indian fan base.

Fawad rose to fame in India with his beloved role in the Pakistani drama ‘Zindagi Gulzar Hai’ and later won hearts with performances in ‘Khoobsurat’ (2014) and ‘Kapoor & Sons’ (2016).

Produced by Vivek B Agrawal, Avantika Hari, and Rakesh Sippy, ‘Abir Gulaal’ is all set to release in cinemas on May 9, 2025, and is already shaping up to be one of the year’s most awaited romantic dramas.
