Directed by Vishal Furia, best known for the Chhorii franchise, Maa delves into the ancient legends of rakshas (demons) and explores the emotional strength of a mother determined to protect her child at all costs.

The trailer opens with Kajol and her daughter seeking refuge in a secluded, eerie forest house. Peace is short-lived as the daughter strays into a cursed area haunted by a demon.
