‘Fellow Travelers’ to Premiere in India on April 17 on Prime Video
Los Angeles [US], April 15: The highly anticipated limited series ‘Fellow Travelers’ is all set to make its India premiere on April 17 on Prime Video, the streaming giant confirmed on Tuesday.
Created by Ron Nyswaner, the show features a compelling blend of romance, political tension, and historical drama. Set across four tumultuous decades of American history, the series follows an epic yet secretive relationship between two men caught in the crosshairs of political persecution.
Matt Bomer stars as Hawkins Fuller, a charismatic political operator in 1950s McCarthy-era Washington who keeps his romantic life strictly hidden. His world is turned upside down when he meets Tim Laughlin, a young idealist played by Jonathan Bailey, whose faith and idealism challenge Hawk’s detachment.
As per the official synopsis, Fellow Travelers is “an epic love story and political thriller” that explores how love, identity, and resistance evolve through landmark eras like the Vietnam War protests, the disco era of the 1970s, and the AIDS crisis of the 1980s.
The ensemble cast also features Jelani Alladin, Linus Roache, Noah J. Ricketts, and Allison Williams. The series is directed by Uta Briesewitz, Destiny Ekaragha, James Kent, and Daniel Minahan.
Co-produced by Fremantle and SHOWTIME, and distributed internationally by Paramount Global Content Distribution, Fellow Travelers has already gained acclaim for its storytelling, historical depth, and bold depiction of LGBTQ+ themes in politically repressive times.
Indian audiences can now witness this powerful saga unfold when Fellow Travelers begins streaming on Prime Video from April 17, 2025.
