Despite a ₹4 crore opening, the Marvel anti‑hero ensemble fails to maintain traction, ending its India run with just ₹30 crore nett — a poor showing compared to Deadpool & Wolverine.
Mumbai, June 27, 2025 — The Marvel Cinematic Universe’s latest outing, Thunderbolts, concluded its run in India with a disappointing ₹30 crore nett, according to industry trade analysts. While the film debuted decently with a ₹4 crore opening day, it failed to sustain momentum throughout its theatrical window.
Despite a star-studded cast—including Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan, and Wyatt Russell—the Hindi release underperformed significantly. Trade critic Manobala Vijayabalan attributed the lackluster performance to a weak audience response and a massive $180 million production budget (roughly ₹1,522 crore), making it one of the few Marvel titles to flop in India
