The horror sequel surpasses The Final Destination (2009) to claim the highest-grossing spot in the series’ domestic box office history.
May 25, 2025: Final Destination: Bloodlines has cemented its place in horror movie history by becoming the highest-grossing film in the franchise in North America. In just seven days since its May 16 release, the sixth installment has amassed an impressive $70.1 million domestically, surpassing the lifetime haul of The Final Destination (2009), which earned $66.47 million.

According to Box Office Mojo, Bloodlines earned $3.1 million on Thursday, marking the biggest first Thursday in the franchise and the third-highest Thursday for R-rated horror films in the post-pandemic era. Though it experienced a 27.9% drop from Wednesday, it’s poised to surpass $100 million by Memorial Day Monday.
