'Final Destination: Bloodlines' Begins Streaming on HBO Max This August, Joins Full Franchise Marathon
Gurugram, Haryana, India: Get ready, horror fans! The latest and highest-grossing installment in the terrifying franchise, Final Destination: Bloodlines, is set to make its streaming debut on HBO Max this Friday, August 1st. This highly anticipated release comes after a successful 77-day theatrical run, where the film slashed its way to an impressive $138.1 million at the domestic box office and a staggering $285.3 million worldwide.
For those who prefer to catch their scares on linear television, Final Destination: Bloodlines will also have its HBO linear premiere on Saturday, August 2nd, at 8:00 p.m. ET. And that’s not all – to celebrate the arrival of the newest entry, HBO will be hosting an epic all-day marathon of the entire Final Destination franchise leading up to Bloodlines‘ premiere. It’s the perfect opportunity to relive all the grisly, fate-defying moments from the very beginning.
This streaming release follows the film’s earlier availability for digital purchase in homes, which began on June 17th after a 32-day theatrical window. Physical media collectors also got their chance to own a copy, with the DVD, 4K UHD, and Blu-Ray editions hitting shelves on July 22nd, a 67-day window from its cinematic debut.
Final Destination: Bloodlines features a talented cast including Kaitlyn Santa Juana, Teo Briones, Richard Harmon, Owen Patrick Joyner, Anna Lore, and Rya Kihlstedt, with special appearances by Brec Bassinger and the franchise’s iconic Tony Todd as William Bludworth.
Directed by the dynamic duo of Adam Stein and Zach Lipovsky, the film delves into a new terrifying premise. The official synopsis teases: “Plagued by a violent recurring nightmare, college student Stefani (Kaitlyn Santa Juana) heads home to track down the one person who might be able to break the cycle — her grandmother, Iris — and save her family from the grisly demise that inevitably awaits them all.” The screenplay for this chilling installment was penned by Guy Busick & Lori Evans Taylor, with the story conceived by Jon Watts alongside Busick & Evans Taylor. The entire franchise, of course, is based on characters created by the master of macabre himself, Jeffrey Reddick. The film was produced by Craig Perry, Sheila Hanahan Taylor, Jon Watts, Dianne McGunigle, and Toby Emmerich, with David Siegel and Warren Zide serving as executive producers.
Mark your calendars for the ultimate Final Destination binge-watching event on Saturday, August 2nd, on HBO linear. The marathon schedule is as follows:
