June 16, 2025 – After a strong month-long theatrical run, Final Destination: Bloodlines is preparing to debut on digital platforms on June 17. But before switching screens, the film is poised to hit one final box office milestone—it has nearly overtaken one of horror cinema’s greatest classics, The Silence of the Lambs, in the domestic market.

Despite losing over 700 screens in North America, Bloodlines pulled in $3.9 million over its fifth weekend, dipping just 39.5% from the previous Friday. Its domestic total now stands at $130.64 million, just shy of The Silence of the Lambs ($130.74 million), making Bloodlines the likely #18 highest-grossing horror film of all time in North America once final numbers are in.

The film’s international performance has been equally impressive, with $141.1 million from overseas markets. That brings its worldwide total to $271.74 million, a remarkable return on its $50 million production budget. As it begins digital rollout—available via PVOD starting June 17—Final Destination: Bloodlines is expected to expand its reach significantly.
Final Destination: Bloodlines has reinvigorated the long-running horror series, winning praise for its fresh take and terrifying set pieces. Though it missed overtaking Silence of the Lambs by a whisker, it has solidified its place among modern horror hits. As it transitions to digital platforms, the momentum continues—just with fewer jump scares at the theater.
