The film, which revived the series after a 14-year hiatus, will begin streaming exclusively on JioHotstar starting October 16, 2025.

Horror fans who missed the theatrical release of Bloodlines can now catch “Death’s twisted sense of justice” in multiple regional languages, including English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.

The streaming platform officially announced the premiere, adopting the film’s chilling tagline: “Death runs in the family. Final Destination: Bloodlines streaming 16th October onwards in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu only on JioHotstar.”

Synopsis and Box Office Triumph

Directed by the duo Adam Stein and Zach Lipovsky, the film takes the series back to the genesis of its deadly cycle. The official synopsis explains the new narrative: “Plagued by a violent recurring nightmare, college student Stefanie heads home to track down the one person who might be able to break the cycle and save her family from the grisly demise that inevitably awaits them all.”

Final Destination: Bloodlines proved to be a critical success for the franchise, achieving the best opening weekend in the series with a domestic debut of $51 million USD. By the end of its theatrical run, the film became the franchise’s highest-grossing film of all time, pulling in a massive $286 million USD globally, as reported by Variety.

The massive success of the sixth film has already paved the way for the future, with the seventh instalment in the Final Destination series reportedly already in development. The screenplay for Bloodlines was penned by Guy Busick and Lori Evans Taylor, with a story conceived by the pair alongside Jon Watts. The original 2000 film starred Devon Sawa, Ali Larter, Seann William Scott, and Tony Todd.
