May 29, 2025: Final Destination: Bloodlines, the sixth installment in the long-running horror franchise, is on a record-breaking spree at the box office. Released on May 16, the film has already grossed $96.9 million domestically, becoming the highest-grossing Final Destination film to date and marking a major win for the horror genre in the post-pandemic era.

According to Box Office Mojo, the film earned $2.6 million on its second Tuesday, post-Memorial Day, setting a new franchise record for the biggest second Tuesday. The previous record was held by The Final Destination (2009), which grossed $937K.

Despite experiencing a -56.8% drop from the previous Tuesday, Bloodlines continues to dominate, overtaking other box office contenders like Nosferatu ($95.6M) and M3GAN ($95.2M). It now ranks among the top 10 highest-grossing horror films released post-COVID, currently holding the 10th spot on the list.

Final Destination: Bloodlines has outperformed expectations both critically and commercially. Featuring Tony Todd in what may be his final franchise appearance, the film breathes new life into the series with high-stakes storytelling and intense visuals. It briefly held the #1 domestic box office spot before being overtaken by Lilo & Stitch and Mission: Impossible 8.

With the momentum it’s building, Bloodlines is expected to cross the $100 million mark domestically by its third weekend and could finish with a projected total of $125–135 million in the US alone.
