Horror fans, buckle up! Final Destination: Bloodlines is here to revive your worst nightmares. Warner Bros. has finally dropped the trailer for the highly anticipated sixth installment in the cult-favorite Final Destination franchise, and it’s already sending shivers down spines — especially with its terrifying callback to the infamous log truck sequence from Final Destination 2.
Back to the Beginning
This time, the franchise goes deeper — both literally and thematically. College student Stefanie Lewis (played by Kaitlyn Santa Juana) starts experiencing gruesome visions that lead her back home, only to uncover a chilling family secret. Her grandmother once cheated death, and now the entire Lewis bloodline is cursed. With fate closing in, Stefanie must try to break the cycle — if that’s even possible.
The trailer suggests that Final Destination: Bloodlines won’t follow the typical “cheat death once” formula. Instead, it teases the concept of “interrupted fatalities,” raising the stakes and leaving fans wondering if survival is even an option — or just another one of death’s illusions.

Legacy and Lore
Fan-favorite Tony Todd returns as the enigmatic mortician William Bludworth, whose haunting knowledge of death’s design remains cryptic. His appearance ties Bloodlines back to the original saga, deepening the mythos around this unstoppable force.
The trailer also leans heavily into nostalgia. The log truck — a scene that left countless viewers avoiding tailgating for decades — makes a foreboding appearance. This callback blends classic terror with a new storyline, promising to both honor and evolve the franchise.
Cast and Release
Directed by Adam Stein and Zach Lipovsky, with a screenplay by Guy Busick and Lori Evans Taylor, Final Destination: Bloodlines also stars Teo Briones, Richard Harmon, Anna Lore, Owen Patrick Joyner, and Brec Bassinger.
The film will hit theaters globally starting May 14, with its US release scheduled for May 16, 2025. Produced by Craig Perry, Sheila Hanahan Taylor, Jon Watts, Dianne McGunigle, and Toby Emmerich, Bloodlines could serve as either the final chapter or a reboot for a fresh new era.
