FIR Filed Against Actor Sharad Kapoor For Molesting A Woman

November 30, 2024: Actor Sharad Kapoor has been accused of molestation by a 32-year-old woman, who claims that he invited her to his home under the pretext of discussing a potential work project.

According to the victim, when she arrived at his residence, Kapoor made unwanted sexual advances and also sent her lewd messages after the encounter, including an obscene voice note.

The Khar Police have filed an FIR against Kapoor under sections 74, 75, and 79 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), which pertains to criminal offenses, including those related to sexual harassment and molestation. The police have summoned the actor for questioning as part of their ongoing investigation into the allegations.

The incident reportedly took place on November 26, 2024, when the woman was invited to Kapoor’s office, allegedly to discuss work related to video reels. Upon arriving, she reportedly found Kapoor inappropriately dressed, and soon after, he is said to have attempted to assault her. Following the alleged incident, the victim claims to have received distressing, obscene messages from Kapoor, which included a voice note.

The woman has since sought legal action against the actor, emphasizing the need for accountability within the entertainment industry, particularly in cases of sexual harassment and misconduct.
