First Look at Timothée Chalamet as Bob Dylan in New Poster for ‘A Complete Unknown’

Searchlight Pictures has unveiled a captivating new poster for its highly anticipated Bob Dylan biopic, A Complete Unknown, featuring Timothée Chalamet in the iconic role of the legendary singer-songwriter. Set against the vibrant backdrop of 1960s New York City, the film is slated for release on Christmas Day.

The poster offers a glimpse into the film’s aesthetic, highlighting the bustling West Village where the young Dylan, portrayed by Chalamet, arrives with his guitar and revolutionary spirit. The film promises an intimate and dramatic portrayal of Dylan’s early years, focusing on his rise to fame and the transformative experiences that shaped his career.

Directed by James Mangold, known for his work on Ford v Ferrari, A Complete Unknown delves into a period of significant musical and cultural evolution. The story captures Dylan’s journey from a 19-year-old aspiring artist to a central figure in American music, exploring his influential relationships and controversial choices.

The film boasts a star-studded cast, including Edward Norton, Elle Fanning, Monica Barbaro, Boyd Holbrook, and Norbert Leo Butz. Byrne, Eli Brown, Nick Pupo, Big Bill Morganfield, Laura Kariuki, Eric Berryman, David Alan Basche, Joe Tippett, and James Austin Johnson.

James Mangold co-wrote the screenplay with Jay Cocks, bringing a detailed and thoughtful approach to Dylan’s early career. The film is produced by Fred Berger of Range, Alex Heineman of The Picture Company, Peter Jaysen, Bob Bookman, Alan Gasmer, and Jeff Rosen, Dylan’s long-time representative. Timothée Chalamet and James Mangold also serve as producers through Turnpike Films, with Michael Bederman, Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, and Andrew Rona as executive producers.
